An entity within Canela Crew Training,
Lock and Load Boxing Battalion is a transformative workshop designed exclusively for armed forces veterans seeking restoration, reconnection, and renewed strength. Grounded in evidence-based practices and delivered in a supportive, veteran-centered environment, this program uniquely combines the empowering discipline of boxing with the grounding, relational healing of equine-assisted therapy.

At Lock & Load Boxing Battalion, we believe healing happens through movement, connection, and purpose. Through boxing, equine-assisted experiences, fitness, and peer support, we help veterans build resilience, strengthen their mental and physical well-being, and develop lasting bonds with a community that understands their journey.
Working alongside specially trained horses, participants experience moments of deep calm, trust, and communication. Horses respond to human emotion and presence, offering veterans a safe, non-judgmental partner to explore grounding techniques, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. These sessions help veterans rebuild healthy connections—with themselves and with others.
Through guided boxing sessions, veterans learn to channel stress, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with their physical and mental power. Boxing fosters emotional release, sharpens focus, and restores a sense of control—skills that often become strained in the transition back to civilian life.

Karisa Kloscak is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and founder of Omni Healing Movement. Based in Carlsbad, California, she leads immersive retreats and workshops that blend somatic healing, movement, and experiential work to support deep, embodied transformation.
With over a decade of experience in trauma and addiction recovery, Karisa brings a grounded, intuitive approach to healing that meets people where they are. Her work weaves together equine-assisted experiences, boxing and movement, sensory awareness, and somatic practices to help participants reconnect with their bodies, release stored stress, and access inner strength and clarity.
Karisa’s retreats are designed for those who learn best through experience—through movement, relationship, and presence rather than talk alone. Whether working alongside horses, moving through boxing sequences, or integrating in quiet reflection, participants are supported in building trust, resilience, and a deeper sense of self.
Karisa creates warm, attuned spaces where people can explore and reconnect with their power to experience meaningful change.
