Hi! My name is Arianne Arnold, formerly Arianne Self. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 2010, I joined the Marine Corps. Serving from 2010-2014 I was motor t (beep beep!). I served in Afghanistan in 2012 with 8th ESB and again from 2013-2014 with CLB-6. While I loved the Marine Corps and loved my job (wreckers up!) I knew I wasn't a lifer. I served my four years and decided to get out and pursue other things.
Even though I chose to get out, I met someone very special in CLB-6. The love of my life and biggest supporter, my husband. Sean chose to stay in and got orders to Beaufort to work on the flightline, while I got out and went back to New Mexico. Upon my departure from the Marine Corps, I was not adjusting well, and the only person I wanted to be with was Sean. So, I packed up and moved back to NC. A year later he proposed, and we began our life as husband and wife!
10 years later, we now have two little boys, Hunter (6) and Dean (4). And our two dogs Achilles and Beerus.

Like many veterans, I faced significant challenges transitioning out of the Marine Corps. Although I believed I was prepared, I carried unresolved emotional weight that I had suppressed for years. During that time, I struggled with unhealthy habits and often masked my internal challenges in social settings.
Seeking a positive outlet, I began training in judo, which later led me to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. While I was deeply committed to both disciplines, I felt compelled to explore boxing. From the moment I stepped into the ring, I found a sense of clarity and purpose I had been missing. Boxing became more than a sport—it gave me direction, discipline, and a constructive way to process challenges I had previously been unable to address.
I have now been boxing for over 10 years, and it remains a central part of my life. I am grateful for the journey and proud to share my experience, knowledge, and passion for boxing with others.
